Dr. Marin Jose stands as a respected scholar and Associate Professor at St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women. Widely regarded for her academic depth and progressive outlook, she has devoted more than twenty years to strengthening educational practices, with particular focus on Educational Technology, Special Education, and English Education.
Affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, her academic journey commenced in 2000 when she was selected as a UGC–Junior Research Fellow at the renowned Regional Institute of Education. Serving as a full-time doctoral researcher, she built a strong scholarly foundation that would later shape her contributions to innovative and inclusive education.
Between 2000 and 2003, Dr. Jose worked as an English teacher at St. George Higher Secondary School, where she gained hands-on experience in secondary-level instruction. In 2003, she joined St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women, continuing her academic journey and eventually rising to the position of Associate Professor. Over the years, she has played a pivotal role in mentoring future educators, particularly emphasizing the integration of e-learning methodologies and technology-driven strategies to support students with learning disabilities.
A significant milestone in her career is the successful execution of a state-level research project funded by the Centre for Disability Studies. The research, titled “Effectiveness of e-Learning on the Achievement of Students with Reading and Writing Disorders in English,” reflects her commitment to inclusive education and her mission to enhance academic outcomes for learners facing educational challenges.
Dr. Jose’s technical expertise further strengthens her academic profile. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign), along with programming and analytical tools such as PHP, databases, JavaScript, Joomla, Moodle, SPSS, R, and Python, she effectively bridges pedagogy with technology in both teaching and research environments.
Recognized as a valuable academic resource person, she has actively contributed to numerous international, national, and state-level conferences, seminars, and workshops through paper presentations and scholarly discussions. Her published research articles add further distinction to her academic standing.
Beyond her institutional responsibilities, Dr. Jose maintains professional affiliations with several esteemed organizations, including the All India Association for Educational Research (AIAER), Association of Kerala Teacher Educators (AKTCTA), Council for Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF), Council for Educational Administration and Management (CEAM), and the All India Association for Christian Higher Education (AIACHE).
