His passion for medicine led him to JIPMER, Pondicherry, where he earned his MBBS degree in February 1981. His academic prowess was further demonstrated as he completed his D.D. (Dermatology) in 1983, followed by an M.D. in Dermatology and STD in 1984. During this time, he also served as a Registrar at JIPMER, Pondicherry, contributing significantly to his professional growth.
