Early Life, Education & Academic Strength

Born on 17 April 1978, Dr. Fernandes began his dental journey with a BDS degree from KVG Dental College, Sullia in 1999. He further excelled with an MDS in Periodontics from JSS Dental College, Mysore under RGUHS in 2004 – laying the foundation for a remarkable academic career.

He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from KVG Dental College, Sullia, India in 1999, followed by a Master’s degree in Periodontics (MDS) from JSS Dental College, Mysore under RGUHS in 2004. His passion for advanced dental technology led him to complete a Fellowship in Laser Dentistry from PMNS Dental College & University of Genoa, Italy in 2016, and later an Associate Fellowship in Laser Dentistry from the World Clinical Laser Institute, USA in 2019. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to healthcare and education, he has been conferred with two honorary doctorates – a Ph.D (Hon.) in Medical & Health Professions from the International Internship University in 2021, and a Ph.D (Hon.) in Education (Oral Health) from Wisdom University, Nigeria in 2022.
